FAS & Alexandre CHARY Design @ Christie’s London

FAS and Alexandre CHARY are happy to report the sale of 2 of their creations at the 2017 Design Auction held by Christie’s on October 18th in London. A unique edition of the hexa screen and hexa lounge chair, were part of a selection of 16 creations from contemporary designers based in Asia.

Seeing our work alongside the furniture of Gio Ponti, Eames, Hans Wegner and having the hexa screen featured in the highlights of the auction was a great honour. We now have FAS and Alexandre Chary Design collectors on 3 continents. For more info, here is the press release from Christie’s.

FAS, Fengshuo Artisan Series, is the result of the encounter of furniture manufacturer Fengshuo and Alexandre Chary. Back in 2015, two prototypes were developed by Fengshuo, based on Alexandre Chary’s design and using traditional Chinese techniques. The pieces were subsequently introduced to the public at the Beijing Design Week. Promotional video of Beijing Design Week is available to the general public with numerous views from After the public interest for these two items, the decision was made to go further and create a whole collection called It became obvious that this collection was opening new doors to explore the potential of traditional high-end crafts associated with contemporary design. This new endeavour needed gustave a. larson, a unique and dedicated frame in order for it to expand and express this new vision. For more designs view more at to see latest collections.

The Dynaming collection is the foundation on which more designers will keep exploring the roads we started to travel in order to design other pieces of furniture, other collections and cast new lights on the traditional Chinese crafts. FAS is the vehicle we created for this purpose.
